Whores, Sons and Soil

Friends have been wondering the rather quiet blips on the blog, thinking that some special branch or security apparatus at the command of the ruling party has whisked me away to be subjected to 'special treatment' by HMS or His Majesty Service.

It was more work that had kept me imprisoned in my own self absorbing world to finish the ever unending work just to ensure there is money coming at the end of the month.

Sometimes, it does pay to earn below RM3,000 a month as you get free money, dirt cheap homes, courtesy of EPF to stay in neighbourhoods that have a commanding view of the Petronas Twin Towers or literally s stone's throw away from the central shopping or financial district.

Like in Kuala Lumpur, so much money is going to be pumped to provide facilities and one wonders if it is the desperation of the city folks to avoid jams, crowded living and not be reminded we are getting to be an expensive city to live in, that the urban folks are not questioning if the projects really cost that much billions.

We spend billions to built an LRT system that doesn't connect because of someone's bright idea to partition the route and now we are spending probably 5 times more to pay for some stupid mistakes to connect them and make others even richer.

It was rather odd to hear that our Malaysian Thais of Thai origin are considered more sons of the soil that other major races principally the Chinese and Indians! Odd, we didn't hear those ketuanan NGOs going berserk their rights and privileges are given out to those who don't belong to the same breed whatever it means or faith!

While everyone wants to be treated special, this conferment of sons of the soil status is a result of another legacy of the appointed 1Malaysia. Those who help me gets help hah! The famous scratching back ransom kind of bargaining with the ordinary voters.

But our Malaysian Thai are not ordinary voters because they have been loyal scratching the back of one party for so long, it's time to let them enjoy the fruits of their scratching.

Which brings to the question, one vote accords you privileges till death do you part, while the thousands of taxes you pay, gets you nothing - at least that is what some race feels.

So now we know that privileges and rights are linked to being loyal, the voting loyalty than paying taxes, working hard, being honest or just wanting a fair share of one's toils and burdens or about a supreme race or faith,

Too bad you China-apek and Indian mari, your votes don't give you any rights simply because you fellows have been so inconsistent in voting for opposition and then switch. There is no place for opportunists voters. But those accorded sons of the soil status are given vast opportunities even if they vacillate in their loyalty.

So to overcome this abuse of privileges, the solution is to change the system that perpetuate it, like in Sabah, the sons of soil status was accorded to many when a new State government took over, remember?

So you China-apek and Indian vello, stop asking for rights and privileges.Just pay your taxes and keep your mouth shut and stay in your corner they direct you.

Speaking of Thais, it was lovely the Thai Prime Minister, duly elected against odds and a women at that, Yingluck Shinawatra visited BolehLand to meet the nonelected, by the people that is, Bolehland leader. Speaks volumes of the kind of tolerance, acceptance and respect our northern neighbours have. And we claim to have the best world democracy when a female is not allowed to be a leader and the women leaders in the government are getting a good hide for scandals than one that earn the respect of the people, hah!

While some hope that the other party are people who respect everyone, you know justice, freedom, respect, transparency and what not, some of the leaders in the hopefuls to rule Putrajaya are behaving like whores. Especially the DAP fellow for branding reporters prostitutes, whores or loose woman, any of this will  mean the same thing even if that insensitive MCP apologises he was misquoted. And we accuse reporters of being juvenile delinquent when we have leaders whose brains and mouth are more loose that the loose word to describe the reporters.

Shame on this DAP fellow. Perhaps the DAP are behaving big headed Dreamers Awaiting Putrajaya that he can afford to be sexist, disgusting and humiliating. Having media friends, the MSM should just boycott the DAP since the DAP is always asking the whole country to boycott the MSM!

Such is the contrast in BolehLand when both sides are trying so hard to win votes they are willing to behave worse than whores. And these leaders are supposed to be sons of the country for our young generation to emulate!

PASsing the Vote Around

In the Chinese vs Chinese warlord tai kohs debate, the government Chinese leader said a vote for DAP is a vote for PAS.

Today, the government Chinese leader, tai koh said a vote for PAS is a vote for DAP. See online news below.

It's certainly a good advice from perhaps the highly paid foreign PR, public relations that is, to remind each race how voting one will mean voting another. Which imply we voters are really stupid morons not knowing who the partners in both the coalition party are, right?

So if voting for DAP is a vote for PAS
And a vote for PAS is a vote for DAP
So too a vote for PKR is a vote for DAP
And a vote for DAP is a vote for PKR
And a vote for PAS is a vote for PKR
And a vote for PKR is a vote for PAS,
The Barisan leaders are really doing the Pakatan fellows a favour by reminding voters who the principal parties are in Pakatan Rakyat.

Unlike in Barisan with so many hanger-ons in BN, imagine if the Pakatan leaders are trying to use the same logic as the Barisan leaders.

A vote for Umno is a vote for MCA
A vote for MCA is a vote for Umno
A vote for Umno is a vote for MIC
A vote for MIC is a vote for Umno
A vote for MCA is  vote for MIC
A vote for MIC is a vote for MCA
A vote for Gerakan is a vote for Umno
A vote for Umno is a vote for Gerakan
A vote for PPP is a vote for UMNO
got the hint?

picture copyright from web
Isn't that what a coalition party amounts to? No matter which individual party you vote for, you are effectively acknowledging the others too? A one for all and all for one? If you vote for MCA are you not also voting to give UMNO power to rule and be the tai koh over the rest of the BN partners? Or is the BN leader saying a vote for MCA is a vote for MCA because MCA alone will be powerful to be the government of the day?

If we were to follow this PASsing the vote around local logic, the BN fellows are at a disadvantage really. Because if you don't like the nearly two dozen parties in BN, you'd not vote for any of them and you have only three in the other alternative choice to vote right?

It can also work to BN's advantage because if you love any of the nearly two dozen races the BN parties protect, you get a larger voter's share than PR with only three and very weak with representatives of other races, the minorities.

Let's not use party name but instead say
A vote for DAP is a vote for Islam
A vote for PAS is a vote for Islam is protected and defended
A vote for PKR is a vote for justice, equality
A vote for PR is a vote for loose morality, gender equality

A vote for UMNO is a vote for ketuanan Melayu
A vote for MCA is for ketuanan Melayu
A vote for MIC is for ketuanan Melayu

A vote for MCA is a vote for begging for a share in doing business
A vote for MIC is a vote for begging to retain Tamil schools
A vote for UMNO is a vote to ensure Islam is protected and defended
A vote for Gerakan is hoping to get some crumbs after the first round of begging for crumbs from MCA and MIC to UMMO is finished

Hmm that would surely confuse us voters right?

One could get a legitimate well earned Doctorate in Curtin University just to research on the vote mapping implications arising from this madness to try and figure out voting for this or that party implies, right? At least the PhD is from one's own actual genuine sweat, tears, blood and hard work, using own money and struggling alone supporting family and kids perhaps and the Doctorate is of much higher value than one that is being conferred eh, don't you think Curtin huh?

Now Najib says a vote for PAS is a vote for DAP
By Yow Hong Chieh, February 19, 2012, Malaysian Insider

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak appeared to tell Muslims today that a vote for PAS was a vote for DAP, the day after MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek told Chinese voters the reverse.

Without naming either opposition party, the prime minister (picture) cautioned some 400 delegates at the Himpunan Ulama, Cendekiawan Islam dan Penulis Maya here that support for one “faction” will translate into backing for its partner as well.

“Even if we vote for that faction, it is the one who sleeps in the same bed with them that will profit,” he said during his luncheon address, adding that he hoped online writers would get his meaning.

“The Chinese held a debate on Chinese at the crossroads. Muslims too are at a crossroads, more so since the general election is not far off. We must choose, and the one we choose must be able to guarantee the honour and purity Islam.”

Dr Chua warned the Chinese community during his debate with DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng yesterday that a vote for the opposition party was a vote for PAS, which he claimed would impose its Islamist values on non-Muslims.

DAP would not be able to stop PAS from establishing an Islamic state in Malaysia should Pakatan Rakyat (PR) win federal power as “PAS is the taiko (big brother)”, the MCA president said.

Chinese vs Chinese

The supposedly mother of all Chinese leaders debate is just reinforcing that BolehLand is as race based as ever and difficult for us to wean off the racist in us like trying to ask us to give up on eating nasi lemak or roti canai for breakfast or teh tarik 24/7.

The debate in the first place was opened to a Chinese audience because the topic is so Chinese oriented these two Cinaapek and their followers were behaving like Chinese warlords of ole. Or eunuchs actually because each of them have bigger braders to please. MCA led on the nose by UMNO and DAP on the noose by PAS and PKR.

At least MCA is only the underdog led by the lease by one master, while DAP has to kow tow often to two masters hah!

The 1Malaysia concept has nothing to do about creating a united society and nation of sorts. Simply because you have Malays against Malays due to their political affiliation, Chinese against Chinese, Indians against Indians and others against others. Apart from this parallel dogfight, you get the different entities and species, the cats and dogs so to speak fighting each other.

With so much cross fighting and crossfire, no wonder we need some slogan called 1Malaysia to let the world know that we are united under 1 slogan.

When 1Malaysa takes credit (what's new about a leader who reminds people to pay gratitude for doing what politicians are supposed to do) for making Chinese billionaires, he must be referring to the MCA Chinese than the DAP ones right?

So while it is purposeful to divide the Chinese, one wonders when our leaders tell us they worked hard to make Chinese rich we wonder if they are referring to the MCA Chinese or the rest who don't want to be considered racist but forced to be identified along racist lines.

So just because a few Chinapek are billionaires, the rest of the poor ones are going to be side tracked and ignored and ever more reason to start a new DEP (Deeper unEqual Policy) we can suppose.

Debates along race lines only serve to perpetuate the divided race we are. It should be along party lines not who has done more for the Malays, Chinese or Indians but Malaysians, everyone treated fairly, justly and equally, no?

Does building more Chinese schools improve the poverty of all?

Does fighting to retain gambling and drinking help to address the social ills and crime?

Does using 10 languages on billboards show we are united and understand each other when we communicate?

The debate in Mandarin shows how exclusive the Chinese parties want themselves to be. Is using Mandarin an identifier of the tolerance of our society? Why are we always proud to declare because of this leader or party, we can eat our bak kut teh or wan tan mee or have a Tiger beer in peace huh? Are we being told we need to kow tow to our leaders, Malay or Chinese in this matter for allowing us this basic human right?

BolehLand is not as democratic or free as our leaders seem to boast or even a nation of moderate or the best democracy in the world! Simply because we are on tenterhooks to always be vigilant if our basic human rights are going to be taken away at the whims and fancy of leaders or religious zealots.

The debate reminds the Chinese that as much as you think you want to fight for more noble principles such as justice, corruption, equality and freedom of worship, association and what not, you can't do that because if these do not preserve the Chinese schools or Chinese associations, the survival of Chinese politicians and party, you can shove your altruist principles you know where.

It's like these two tai kohs are racing to see who can be the tai koh of the race or a more Chinese race based than the others huh?

The message is defend Chinese rights first, their schools, their associations, their bak kut teh, their Tiger beer, their damacai, their wan tan mee before trying to talk about eliminating corruption, nepotism, patronage, fighting for justice for all and the other universal principles.

As long as religion dictates one's race, there will be a battle between the holy of holiest and infidels.

As long as you don't kow tow to your leaders for ensuring you have your Chinese language, schools, way of life and business, all your noble talk of higher principles are align to BolehLand.

For 1Malaysia to mention if Chinese don't vote for UMNO and Barisan, their shares price will fall? Isn't it stereotyping that the Chinese owns the wealth of the nation because they hold shares? Why is the fear-mongering directed at the Chinese? It gives the feeling that a race, Malays and a religion Islam will be threatened by the existence of the Chinese?

MCA is threatening the Chinese that if Pakatan is in power, Islam not hudud will threaten the Chinese. And since Islam is related to a race, does it also imply the Malays in Pakatan a threat?

So is MCA telling us that their UMNO Malays give Chinese better security than the Pakatan Malays. And that the UMNO imposition of Islamic laws better than PAS'? When did MCA become the spokesperson of the Malays and Islam?

When Pakatan questions issues of race, eg anyone can be a Chief or even Prime Minister or the creeping Islamisation on other religions and culture beliefs, they are accused of sedition, heresy by UMNO and BN.

But when MCA questions Islam or rather keeps quiet about the fatwa on celebrating other religion festivities, the UMNO, Malay and even religious bodies seem cowed by the might of MCA.

Odd MCA attacks Islam using the hudud issue when they should be telling us about what it means when his leader said BolehLand is a model moderate Islamic state and to support all those fatwas as well as why Christians in this part of BolehLand cannot call their God Allah, eh?

Seems MCA championing the rights of non Muslims are ok, but when Pakatan and DAP does that, it's sedition.

The debate does not solve anything in moving us away from being identified along racial lines. It just perpetuates the obvious we all know.

Wonder how the Chinese feels seeing one group of Chinese or rather each warlord mustering their troops to out clap each other. The debate is like watching some Hong Kong triad movies of tai kohs trying to prove who is worthy to be the big boss for the Chinese. Makes this blogger sick to the stomach.

Similarly too, if the two Malay leaders square off, the Malays must be so happy, Perkasa perhaps to see their race taking sides and do 'battle' huh? Hey, didn't the Malay leaders chide Malays for not being united or show gratitude to their leaders and for all to be united or else their race, language and religion will be threatened?

So what is 1Malaysia actually is even if the latest UM survey seem to show many understand the 1Malaysia concept when the race identity is being carefully nurtured, guarded and perpetuated? All in the name of the politicians wanting to stay in power!

If these two warlords want all of us to take sides who is the better tai koh, should they not use a language we can understand, like Bahasa Melayu and not Mandarin huh? Are they sending the message to other Chinese who can't understand Mandarin, they are second class Chinese huh?

Rather than ask who won, we should ask who lost? The nation and people are the losers because it is telling all of us that race is here to stay right?

Using The Poor For Fishing Votes

We are familiar with this 'berdikari' or stand up and be self supporting proverb of teaching a person to fish to feed himself than giving him fish to feed him.

In BolehLand, in recent months, the government is like some messiah, being able to feed the 'poor' and real poor with lots of dough, money that is. Billions of ringgit are being given out, free dough, money that is, such as the BR1M free money, making recipients brimming with smiles. Students were also given free money in the form of book vouchers.

Then more goodies are announced offering cheaper homes with easy loans, super fantastic returns in investments schemes and a whole lot of 'cheap' things coming our way, the poor that is way. Makes one wonder if BolehLand is a nation riddled with so many poor stricken, helpless poor or the government is refining the art of 'handouts' to a wider group eh?

1Malaysia's reasoning is it will help them to cope with the high cost of living for a whole year that is, because it is a one time assistance. Though there is now familiar you 'scratch the BN back and they will scratch yours' to ensure a yearly 'bonus' for keeping them in power. Isn't this some form of corruption?.

This free money handouts is akin to giving the people fish than teaching them to fish. Isn't these freebies an acknowledgement that not enough have been done to ensure the cost of living is reasonable so people can take care of themselves and cope with their earnings?

Won't it be better if you provide a better competitive market and allow these lower income opportunities to go into business that will help to keep the cost of living down. Say giving them land to grow food to reduce the food imports. Than only let the rich landlords in the likes of FELDA, Sime Darby, property owners and timber tycoons, a crony few to have last tracts of land for only a small group of people or race to get rich.

Even in the transport industry, free up the cartel and monopolists. Cab drives at the airport can't even practice free enterprise to benefit consumers.

The amount of free cash is a measurement of the cost of failure of the government in handling the country. Of course some will argue it shows we are super rich and we must thank the government for making so much income to be able to give such billions out just like that! Didn't we hear we would be bankrupt if we don't stop being pampered with subsidies. Now if you are going to make this one time assistance a yearly affair, who's doing a Greece on your behind huh?

The poor is the latest weapon to gain votes. You hand out the fishes to them and tell them to be grateful because you are feeding them and not doing much to let them fish on your own.

The poor is being made like pawns, prawns providing fodder to the politicians to gain votes and remain in power..

It's shameful to use the poor to show your record of success like what is being done by 1Makaysia in Sabah recently. Read story here. The question is why are our oil rich states first of oil poor? Who caused this situation to happen?

While governments in developed democracies are shameful there are poor or those living below poverty line, our government is proud to use them as report card of how good a government they are compared to the opposition! We are happy to see poverty the worse off the better in areas administered by the opposition.

On one hand, 1Malaysia shouts about inclusiveness and the religious institutions on how they protect the umat and condemn anyone who threaten religion, race and privileges. On the other hand, 1Malaysia has no qualms to withhold money taken from oil rich states and deprive them of the money to develop their state and the people?

The use of the poor and worse display them for all to see like some desperate destitutes rushing for free money or given wheelchairs or given hampers is really being insensitive.

For us to hear, Kelantan is so poor because of PAS when you are holding the federal piggy bank is really a shameful and despicable act.from those who claim to be defenders of religion, race and privileges!

copyright from internet
Using the poor to fish for votes makes those doing it the sharks.

It's about time the poor and the many of us caught in the lower and income rut tell the powers be to stop giving freebies because if you take from somewhere, some others will be deprived. It's ironical, we are told of billions in the pipeline with the ETP programmes that will push us all into high income earners. Well billions have been spent on so many corridors and super ones too and yet, the large pool of fellows suffering seems to increase. Blame it on good babies producers or illegals being naturalise or the people are getting lazier?

One is inclined to think there is some consipracy to have poor people so that you can jump in and show you are the saviour by launching 1 this and 1 that. But the 1Too Many Projects are they income generators? How does the KRIM shops help the poorer income to get more income. It does not. They still earn RM1000 a month. Their income has not increased. KR1M does not increase their income. So too the whatever 1Mamak cheaper food concept. Isn't it better to increase the income so that the fellow can shop at KRIM as well as afford a better meal too?

These 1schemes are like asking the people to be where you are. Stay at your income level, I will come up with more cheaper schemes so that your RM1,000 can buy more things to survive. So till 2020 this chap is going to be at RM1000 and probably have the option of 1000 1Malaysia cheaper outlets for his or her needs. Where is the high income society.

Ok it seems simplistic. But the message is the poor is going to be kept at their status quo because you need the broken debilitated homes, you need the long queues preferably in the hot sun to collect money handouts, you need laterite roads, broken bridges to ask voters to continue to vote you in because you need another 1000 years to make things better, huh?

Let us hope the poor don't get caught in the net of deceit and worse to feel they owe the gratitude to the 1Fishmonger for throwing them the fries while he gets richer and fatter sharing the good catch with his geng and selling it to outsiders who can pay the price.

So because of BN, Sabah is richer also holds equally valid and true because of BN, Kelantan is so much poorer huh?

WTF - It's Feb 14, 2012

WTF is just a Fable

With the insistence that God is going to send His wrath onto His believers who dare Defy His commands, there seem so many WTFs being raised. WTF has become a very very dirty word but seems to be increasingly being used by sinners and God's chosen or self appointed angels and holy man. Who To Figure are God's chosen ones, self appointed or political appointees is anyone's guess.

WTF is not a dirty word as we BolehLand folks think it is. Our kids, youths, grandmas, CEOs, priests, monks, sheikhs, imams, even the Ayatollah, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, atheists, Jewscommunists, perverts, even 1Malaysia and 250 million people are indulging WTF activity each second. Thanks to Zuckerberg all these fellows are indulging in WTF 24/7!, which is Writing To Facebook or Wired to Facebook each second they have right?

We also can't blame us poor folks to equate WTF with derogatory meaning or expletives given that each second old folks, men, religious people, clerics and children are bombarded with expose of sex, sodomy and salacious news of whores, prostitutes (including from Dump Ass Politicians party recently) mistresses and scandals (including those illegally overstaying in a neighbouring country).

Used in the proper context WTF is rich in meaning not necessarily replete with innuendos. Read below and figure out What Tis Fable is all about to Widen Thy Fixated mind.

There was this 1Leader
Who Taught Fact about a policy called 1Malaysia
So Went To Festival where a million too went
Witnessing Thousands Faithful honour Lord Murugan
Worshippers Thousands Filled the square but kept away from air con reserved space
Waited To Face the great leader they heard so much about
Welcome Together First Lady they did
Humongous garland With Thousand Flowers a BolehLand Book of Record made
Waving Together Facing Lord Murgan to the cheer of thousands
Whatever Thoughts Forming in their minds
Soon worshippers hear What Trust Formula the great leader proposes
With Total Faith they believe I help you if you help me
Who To Forgo such enticing offer with millions already promised a cultural centre
So when all ended the two Went to Fortress Putrajaya
And happy knowing they Won The Faithful Hindus vote

So What's This Fuss some religious clerics we now hear
Waving This Fatwa in dismay at even the great leader
Expressing Woes Towards Festivities considered haram FMOM and FLOM did a visit
Making us question What Tolerance Friend this 1Malaysia policy
What This Fuss to divide us as God's chosen and the rest pagans and infidels
Causing many to abuse the noble meaning of WTF
Widening Tension Further than binding us as one
Causing some to misuse WTF to mean Wormy Total Frog mentality
While those of same same gender who have wrongly been branded Worthless Total Faggots are now speaking out Wholeheartedly To Fight such bigotry and intolerant attitude
While Those Feeling branded as infidels and pagans have no qualms
To express opposition With Two Front fingers, though not necessary the politically correct 1Malaysia sign.

So What To Figure out
What This Fact we are told 1Malaysia policy is
When Tis Fatwa destroys it with an edict
So folks now it is proven that WTF is not a dirty word at all
if With Tolerance Forgiving heart we have
Towards those Who Think Fools we are
To show them that We Truly Follow our God with no fear
Even With Those Fanatics bent on labelling us pagans and infidels.
Let us Win True Friendship
And reject those With Two Face intentions
And together With Those Faithful to their God
We Transform Forever our BolehLand we love
By Working Towards Fighting to change
With This Force of conviction we have
We Truly Face a bright new day
So lets us Work Together Folks
To rid our beloved land of those Working To Force us to be divided
Are we Willing To Fight against bigotry, intolerance, arrogance, pride and self righteous human beings?
or give up and question What's Tis Fable all about
or sigh WTF huh?

Blame Who for Valentine's Day Celebration

While Christians, at least this one, don't give a hoot about the origin of Valentine's Day or believe what those who fear it like some kind of VD disease claim it has Christian elements, are we shooting our arrows unfairly at cupid or other religions.

Why is it when something is so 'haram' that all efforts are made to connect it to Christian elements? Is it some subtle Christian bashing and Christians are being made some scapegoats for weakening Muslims and threaten Islam?

Seriously the holy fellows screaming 'haram' and 'Christian tainted' and trying to associate Christianity to promoting promiscuity are all being inflicted by some insecurity ailment. At least VD, the disease that is, can be cured but these self righteous religious fellows need to spend more time really hearing God's word than using it to condemn or accuse others of trying to influence their believers!

1Malaysia as usual is keeping quiet and letting the religious bodies go on a frenzy and witch hunt. Okay, their threats and witch-hunt do not affect those who are not of their faith so we are assured. But, to go on and on trying to make the rest of us as sinners and devils makes us feel like devils and they behave like an Inquisition or pharisees against those who want to commemorate VD however they choose.

Even if you claim it does not concern others except your own kind, somehow people's rights will be infringed upon,

Ok Muslims can't celebrate. End of story right? No, we want to point a finger at PAS like they are the culprit. But when BN muftis are on the same warpath like our PAS reminding their faithful of dire consequences, even deciding where their soul will go if they disobey, noone seems to think they are equally dead against their own kind celebrating like the PAS fellows.

So before Easter Sunday comes and you find yourself wanting to enjoy Easter chocs shaped like Easter eggs or bunnies, please forewarn early than when the Christians are celebrating the holy week, they are going to be accused of trying to convert again.  Ban Easter celebrations by any F&B outlet if you don't want believers to be affected by Easter Sunday feast!

Remember last Easter at a five star restaurant, so many Eater bunnies cookies and hot cross buns and they were being eaten by diners of all faiths! Gosh the five star hotel should be banned, the GM hurled up and stoned for allowing such Christan symbolism to be served with blue cheese, mushroom soup and balsamic vinegar & olive oil huh?

Let us not boast we are a nation of moderates or 1Malaysia microcosm of appreciating and celebrating our diversity. If a Muslim leader can be chided by his own religious fellow for visiting a holy cave and adorned with humongous flower wreaths, we wonder if he is a leader of all the people or just one religion?

Stop the Christian bashing pehlease can or not? By all means go on your witch-hunt, bring out the whip, get the stones ready and punish your own, but don't fault other religious or brand others as pagans or infidels out to damn some soul to hell!

There are many who do not agree to the 'halal' food labels because of the way the animals being slaughtered are not humane. Remember one man's halal food is another person's 'haram' food. So should you scream at those who do not subscribe to the halal way but choose to say their own prayers to de-halal is? Where does all this little irritations and absurdity ends huh? See how idiotic, silly and stupid we behave when religion, rather when one claim to be the truth and others falsehood?

If PAS and the holy clerics and muftis want to do God's will please do so on February 14. Set up road blocks, dress in your religious garments and patrol all F&B joints, question anyone at florists, chocs and gift shops who are they buying the flowers, chocs or gift for. And the pagans and infidels should not complain if they are being questioned too right? After all, since the reasoning is that it is the official religion and noone can question them save being arrested for defiling the Constitution and committing sedition, non Muslims should live with the inconvenience, the questioning and the checking right?

The argument for non Muslims to shut up whatever the holy clerics or PAS are warning their own kind is to simplistic.

Singling out VD is not the start but a continuing trend to halalfy BolehLand of infidel, pagan and haram practices. If we who are now given the freedom to celebrate it, are just going to stand by and keep our mouth shut, they will come a time when we may be asked to stop our 'freedom' to our religious or cultural customs and even diet. All because these are affecting the faith of one religion. So the logic is to disallow, stop and get rid of the 'sins' and 'temptations' no?

Let us hope we do not come to a stage where we need to ask permission from other religions if we can drink beer, eat pork, buy lotteries or even be allowed to pray. Have we forgotten the still unresolved language we can use to call 'God' huh?

So still blame PAS for creating issues about VD?
Here are some interesting no nos on Valentine's Day so you can celebrate it without being harassed.

  • Do not declare so loudly to your bebe that you are the most beautiful, the most loving, the most adorable, in fact any superlatives of power, omnipotence may lead you to being questioned if you are permitted to use such superlatives unless you are a pagan or infidel.
  • If you want to hold hands make sure you have your big crucifix and religious relics hanging out of your neck, clearly visible.
  • Carry a Bible or other Holy Book is not permissible because you may be accused of trying to convert people.
  • Kissing and hugging is not allowed in public, well in fact not only on Feb 14 and all other days.
  • Do not assume celebrating in a mamak shop with a mixed group is safe? Make sure you have your NRIC
  • Do no assume celebrating is any eatery with yourself or a mixed group is safe? You may be asked to show your NRIC.
  • Be prepared to answer any interrogation if you are seen carrying a bouquet of roses or a box of chocs or teddy bear with heart signs all over or an over-sized VD card?
  • Do not avoid any checkpoint set up by men in holy garbs least you will be suspected of hiding something.
  • Don't carry any condoms or KY or baby oil or even any pill that look like contraceptive.
  • Make sure your mobile, ipad, laptop on you DO NOT HAVE ANY messages of love even if sent to your wife or hubby or children or receiving from them or any heart symbol because authorities are supposed to have the right to check your electronic devices on you.
  • Better still all take leave and stay at home, don 't go out and eat so noone can blame you for sending innocent holy poor souls to hell.

Think the above are absurd and mischievous? Just last week, a frustrated friend was relating how he was stopped at a checkpoint and unlucky for him still in his gym attire was reminded by those manning the checkpoint not to wear sexy attire when driving or to the gym!

Happy Valentine's Day... and is this haram huh?

Only in BolehLand some choose to see Valentine's symbol this way
" LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind. It is not jealous, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. LOVE does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE never fails...now these three remain: faith, hope and LOVE. But the greatest of these is LOVE."
( 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a,13 )

Not Smart Users Not Smartphones to Blame

The growing concern over the use of mobile devices, not necessary smartphones or tablets but include your PSP and gameboy, is not the fault of the devices but the fault lies with the person using such gizmos.

The same growing concern is the applications that sit on these devices, principally social media apps and Facebook seems to be getting the blame for the ironical situation of creating social misfits (in real life that is) when FB is touted to expand one's social network (in cyberspace that is) and give more self worth or destroy it (in real life as well as cyberspace that is).

It is good to remind users of both hardware and software of the changing phenomena (as these two have a kind of symbiotic relationship) in our relationships with one another and the gizmos/apps too.

While we will not confess that we have become addicted to these 'electronic devices dispensing cyber nicotine', and feel our lives are empty without our toys, our dependence on them is clearly shown when we feel the irritation these devices intrude into our lives, when we don't want them to or feel they should be seen (sans lighted up) and not heard (sans vibrator mode).

It is no more the traffic crawl that contribute to our mood swings and frustrations. When we don't get a connection or none of our 2000 FB friends are even saying a 'Hi' to us, the agony will mount in correlation to the length of time the connection is down or it takes ages to get the page, or friends still haven't said 'Hi' even if it's about 8am in the morning as our eyes are glued on the screen (and sadly not the driver's window screen).

And lunch breaks these days are not much fun as almost have the time is spend glued to enjoying and playing with our gizmo and apps than enjoying the food! Think back, what did you eat for lunch and did you enjoy the food at say Lemon Garden or even remember what was the conversation among friends besides sharing the FB postings or looking at each other's screen.

Today the msmedia reported on the effect to relationships in marriages and even family institution that smartphones and the apps have imposed upon. But should we blame our tools or ourselves? It's ironical companies spend billions on training to empower their employees to excel and what have you and we prove ourselves better when we are able to take charge over ourselves and others - but when it comes to our gizmos we are literally slave to them and our empowerment stops the moment we log into our FB perhaps!

Even this blogger is at times wasting time blogging the woes of BolehLand when there is so much to life out there right? So admittedly yours truly is also 'addicted' to cyberworld. But thank goodness for the love of photography and outdoors, there is still a balance. Though, a friend remarked that I spend just about the same time taking pictures and getting them composed to post in FB! hah! Now that is a revelation and a sure evidence of being hooked like the rest huh? But on a photo shoot or when backpacking, the phone is on silent or off mode and will only be checked after finishing what I need to do. If you want to live the 'ah hah' moment, get rid or off your gizmos, believe me!

But seriously there are a few fighting smartphone or social media addiction including yours truly. If the BB is left at home, I'd not detour to collect it. And during holidays it's OFF with the official one even though it may incur the wrath when work starts, at least it's stress free during your holidays. Or is it the truth? Some feel even if you off it physically, mentally the mind is still switched 'on' wondering what the boss has mms, sms, bb or email you right? So we are really slave and enslaved to it, even if we want to free ourselves it's a challenge.

But we could really do with less time on social media sites. This is where we can exert control of not being so KPC with what your 2000 friends are up too! How many FB friends do I have? 28 at last count after two years of which only 3 are regular conversations and the rest are just not sure why they are there! Of course those who use social media as a business tool are exceptions right?

Even if our gizmos are trying to get our attention, we really need to not lose our self control and learn to use them in moderation. Sounds cliche eh? But the other option is being addicted to it and feel edgy, irritable and becoming dysfunctional beings. That's a conscious choice we need to know and not wait to become addicted.

We are really too kind to our friends not to speak our minds to down and off our gizmos when we meet for a social gathering etc. Even if we are 24/7 hooked to information, have it made us more mature and rational? Not really because we all have our bias source of information right? Are we really better informed of the issue to make a rational choice? We have many sites to champion our cause which brings out the ugly side of all of us when we are driven by emotion to hurl our anger or frustration at an issue or what have you. Which brings to the question, does social media help to incite or defuse?

Friends have labelled my blog as anti establishment and pro opposition. If you wish to advocate for change, you'd be more inclined to be bias right? At this stage the other option is not as evil as the present option. Or is it? Even if both are on an even evil plane, the issue is to expose the 'evils' that the present 'crooks' said they don't have or are not. Presently we are being told there is no 'evil or dark side' in the present group of 'crooks', while the dark side of the other group of 'crooks' seemed to be revealed almost every second! So to expose the lies, we need a change to dig up all the 'evil' right?

Back to the supposedly disintegration of the family and other institutions by smartphones or social media apps. Our world around us must be so so boring that we need to be hooked on our gizmos to give us a 'high' our lifeline for our daily existence huh?

We shudder the day when all you need is to drill a slot into your skull and insert a sim card into it to stay connected! And we are closer than you think. Look around and see how many of us are bluetoothing and have ear plugs on? Parents are texting their kids from the kitchen to ask kids upstairs to come for dinner!

And we have young people complaining they don't have enough money but won't hesitate to change to the latest model or even own two or more phones or chalk up high monthly bills!!! And we blame the government from taxing us or not subsiding enough for us hah!

The odd thing is while we are shocked to learn we have over 33 million mobile subscriptions to our 28 million population, we are still at the mercy of our telcos. The telcos are still charging us a bomb especially business connectivity. We have given the telcos a free hand to charge us for all kinds of nonsense add on fees! Imagine we pay more each month than willing to buy an insurance policy! (except 1Care huh?) Where is the rational peeps?

Whether we become smartphone or social media junkies is our decision. It's not smart users and not smartphones to be blamed if our relationship breaks down. What do you think of a person who text you to 'talak' or 'break off' or even sweet nothings than in person in your face? Are we sure FB is to increase your social skills? Tapping on the keys or swiping to express your thoughts is different from opening your mouth to express your thoughts right?

The racism, molestation, violence, the negative aspect of social media is already a fact. Even radical ways to overcome them puts those who wish to fight against such negativity into potential criminals even if their intention seems noble. Read this story.

When Zuckerberg becomes a billionaire 100 times over when FB goes public, will he spend a couple billions to treat misfits and dysfunctional behaviour as a result of FB? Or will he plead ignorance and innocence of 'Hey you can unlike, unFB or 'defriend' anyone, so don't blame me right? Yeh, tell that to the those who got into trouble even closing their FB or 'defriend' one of their 2000 friends huh?

It is not FB or Google Plus+ now that are being made culprits of disintegrating relationships. A certain tweetie bird is also ruffling up feathers of its members.

And we thought our real world is difficult to cope with, now we have a parallel cyberworld to face too. Tweet on this huh?

At a wedding of a techie couple

Texting to read... I will love you with all my gizmos via my smartphone and social media, in sickness or in good health and will not depart my smartphone or social media account till death do us part.

Kung-fu-ing Frustrated Customers

The recent fiasco at a KFC fast food restaurant is having its share of controversy in highly politicised BolehLand. Given the power of technology and social media and of course BolehLand folks as among the largest 'addicts' to social media sites such as Facebook, the incident went viral as soon as it was uploaded in cyberspace.

The incident is getting to be unnecessarily politicised with political parties getting involved! Already the people concerned including the management and the customer have responded positively albeit too late and even asked that it is not turned into a racial issue. And rightly so!

Why is Pakatan dipping their hand into this KFC affair? Isn't the police and the management already investigating it. And why are people turning to political parties to resolve every issue turning it into a possible politicised circus? Is it they don't trust the parties charged with investigating the incident to do their job at all or do it fairly? In this case, let the police and management resolve it!

The incident shows the rather surprising slow speed an international franchise took to respond to the situation. It is a crisis management issue and it took them so long in crisis management terms to nip the situation.

Whatever the level of frustration of anyone, for the KFC staff to resort to this violence in Kung-fu-ing Frustrated Customers is unacceptable!!! More so allowing the staff to walk that distance to face the customer? Why didn't the other staff or Manager stopped him on his track! The management has apologised and we should let those involved resolved it. See story here.

The incident has already spawned international notoriety which sadly is how BolehLand seems to get international publicity for the wrong reasons, as if our politicians are not already doing a bad job at maligning our country with issues from Valentine Day to naked squatting huh?

Now we have Perkasa wanting to let the staff involved to share his side of the story. So how many more political parties and people in the restaurant at that time will be giving interviews huh? It's time the management and let's hope they do put a stop to this nonsense of letting outside parties exploit the situation or allow the staff to speak to other parties. After all, the investigation is ongoing.

Maybe the one supplying the chicken will be blamed for not making sure enough chickens were ordered. Or the supervisor at KFC's central depot for not sending in the chicken soon. Or the manager of the outlet for not being good in maths to count the chickens required. Or even the people who were filming the incident will be interviewed and sued for making a public recording in the restaurant when clearly cameras were not allowed. See the absurdity, which is normal in BolehLand, that is going to happen, eh?

A new video has been made, one isn't sure as damage control or to calm the furor or just exacerbate the incident is anyone's guess. Check out the video here.

Nevertheless, the fault lies more on the management because they have failed to address the incident the moment it went into cyberspace! It also speaks a lot about the mentality of our service industry especially the fast food sector. Some still think that by their international franchise name, they can afford to let customers endure long queues, even shriveled sized portion of servings and lack of hygiene at the eatery too.

We always point out our local companies and business lacking in mannerism and customer service. But those with international franchise are also on par if not even worse which is not forgivable because they are supposed to live up to the international brand promise (cliche brand lingo here) of excellent customer service.

Having had very bad share of service experience and quality of food of the sister franchise which serve pizza, we wonder as consumers we are creating a fuzz if we complain to management. And it means seeing the manager. Why can't we speak to the manager? Isn't the manager the best person to hear your grouses than have it misinterpreted by the downliners to protect their own weaknesses and more often will blame customers than tell the 'truth' eh?

In the pizza hut personal experience it took 45 minutes to get your orders and before that you do a self service to get your cutlery. And when the pizza arrived, the dough was not even cooked even pointing out to the staff left a rather disinterested stare. The apology was 'very busy!'. Does very busy give them the licence to serve you low quality food? And the drinks came was the wrong order and when the bill came you get billed for an order you didn't receive! So I just paid and told them the shoddy service and the terrible food didn't make up for the frustration.

A month later thinking the quality of food is what the brochures show and to forgive them, went to order take away and my mistake was not to check the orders. Upon returning home, again the dough was not cooked and into the dustbin the two pizzas went. So that is the end of ever going to the joint. When checked with neighbours in that area, they also have similar experiences. But we consumers are probably suckers thinking that dining in an international franchise is some kind of ego thing!

third party visuals sourced
So shame on KFC and its slow response to the crisis. Is it because our local franchise holder thinks that because they hold an international franchise, they can get away with such type of service, quality of food and also attitude of staff. Why the heck didn't the staff tell the customers in queue the chicken ran or is running out before they ordered? Or is it they are playing to our BolehLand's niceness  and timidness that we ordinary folks don't mind being shortchanged and change the menu huh?

In this age and time of social media, businesses must be cognisant of this pervasive channel that will make or break them! In my line of work, had received even pictures sent from customer's iPhone of staff picking their noses and chatting or eating at their workstation, empty chair in front mind you and here the customer was waiting for close to an hour! Check a company's official social media, FB or blog and if you see them becoming conflict resolutions portal, it tells about their service quality and attitude and also the wrong use of social media!

It is about time we take customer service seriously and expect that if the business claim to their brand promise, THEY MUST DELIVER ON THE PROMISE. Advertisements are just a mockery if on the ground level you get kung-fu-ed or served sub quality or below the value of what you pay.

If this incident happened in the original chicken land, the customer would be filthy rich! The incident will be like being landed with the 'golden' egg being paid compensation for being assaulted!

But to customers in BolehLand, we are always the losers. Why? Because few dare to confront diplomatically and civilly perhaps at the eatery itself and prefer to use FB or social media to seek our revenge or express our frustration which may often only give one side of the  story and all kinds of parties getting involved when it goes viral.

The rule to make sure your food served to you has no 'foreign' element is to be nice to the waiter, waitress and kitchen crew. Knowing people in the f&b industry, the horror stories of what disgruntled and frustrated employees do to your food or your drink if you are a 'fussy' customer, well better not share, just eat what your ordered and pretend no extra ingredients or other surfaces it landed on before it is got served on the plate or cup, hah!

The fallacy of the 'customer is king and right' does not hold true simply because knowing us humans, we have our dark side and it comes to light if you push your luck too far right? So the next time you go to an eatery, be kind and nice to your waiter and the staff. It will solve so much of problems. There is always a choice. Just avoid fast food as they are also one factor in contributing to obesity and the kind of illness associated with it, and that includes our economy and mamak rice too right?

Greatest Love of All

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
So I learned to depend on me

[Chorus]
I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all

I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

[Chorus]

And if by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

Scratching the Wrong Back

The legacies that 1Malaysia is leaving behind after his reign is 1TooMany to count, talk about recalling the many 1Projects initiated supposedly by this 1Person. And if it's true these 1Many Projects are indeed the creation of 1Brain, it does speak volumes of the intelligence of the other leaders of the coalition, huh?

Besides the 1Malaysia Policy of People First Performance now, the equally distinct characteristic of the reign of this 1Supreme leader (apology to the Fatwa fellows for glorifying a homo sopien being more supreme than the Supreme Himself), now aka ah jib gor, is the magical or ajaib formula of gaining voters 'to trust me' is the tagline People Your Perform First is You Help Me, I Help You or I Scratch My Back, I Scratch Yours then you will get what I decide you can have, no?

This YHMIHU or vice versa (see story here) or ISYBYSMB, is treating voters like some kind of prostitutes or monkeys who are in such dire situation itching for money that they will do a monkey see, monkey do act to get the peanuts, no?

This YHMIHU  and its ISYBYSMB vice versa scratching has spawned similar variations of YTM  or You Trust Me and ITU which is not any mischievous sounding Chinese dialect expletives but rather I Trust You pasar malam kind of barter marketing style one encounters in the chee cheong kai of Petaling Street.

For a politician and more so a FMOM, First Man of Malaysia that is, to indulge in this type of horse trading sends the signal of not trusting the voters, desperation, lack of confidence in one's self worth or the voters don't trust your sincerity? Worse still, asking for favours done shows the insincerity of the leader in all that he or she has done or plans to do is genuine in the first place. Everything done has a motive and not done out of genuineness, altruistic or that which elected politicians are supposed to do right?

What do we think of someone who expects a reciprocal degree of gratitude for what he does for you? Asking for such gratitude is not win-win strategy but demonstrate the 'fake-ness' of one's action!

By bargaining with the voters, it is not surprising leaders from this party are
forever chiding their own people for not showing gratitude for all they have done. Does such an attitude reflect the stature of an ah jib gor as the Chinese give reverence to such titling. Not so ah gor trying to gorge gratitude out from voters huh?

So how sincere or valid is the offer said in a venue which the leader's holy men in robes have openly declared sacrificing his faith in being among infidels and pagans that his God or is the religious head forbids? See the context here.

If we believe the leader swear on the Holy Book as proof of his holiness and a more noble and exemplary Muslim over those of the same faith and even higher than pagans and infidels, then his presence in a pagan venue so declared his holy men in robes, the YSMBISY or ITU UTM promise has no worth at all even if it was declared in front of Lord Murugan huh?

God is Great or is it Fate has its own way of turning out surprises. Has this kidnapping kind of 'ransom order' of getting back your life if you scratch my back, has kind of backfired?

This bargaining seems to have been invalidated because the leader's holy council of holy men's decree has deemed the presence as an 'idolatrous act! So it doesn't count whatever you plea or promise because those many thousands are pagans (at least according to the leader's religious leader) whether legal, illegal, migrants or foreign tourists,  right?  And pagans gift to you should be treated as 'haram' too which means better for pagans to cast their votes to other pagans who would appreciate them more eh?

So one can cry a sigh of relief that the sea of pagan's and infidels (according to the leader's holy council of holy men's decree) will not buy the offer to relief each other's itch simply because you can't make such promises or ask for favours from infidels and pagans, can you?

If we are to subscribe to the truth of the holy council of holy clerics, they are probably telling our 1Leader that he's scratching the wrong back with his 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine or vice versa offer too! The only valid and God approved scratching is probably to scratch the back of your own kind or the religious fellows perhaps?

Is our Pakatan fellows jumping up for joy and sigh a huge relief some one's fingers got whacked before even reaching out to scratch an infidel's back huh? So if the infidels and pagans (according to the holy council of holy clerics) feel left out simply because they choose to worship Lord Murugan, will they then turn their back, not to be scratched but away from the holy fingers and instead prefer to rub shoulders with the other supposedly Jew sympathiser leader eh??

God, Lord Murugan included are very powerful indeed don't we all agree, pagans or however holy or chosen by God you make yourself to be?

When God Goes Off Tangent

Last week, the Vatican’s top anti-abuse prosecutor has warned that the Catholic Church in Asia is falling behind in the fight against paedophilia due to cultural differences over what constitutes child abuse. “The problem is very accentuated in Asia,” Archbishop Charles Scicluna told reporters ahead of a major international conference this week in the Vatican’s Gregorian University on the crisis of paedophilia in the Church... as reported in many media.

It's rather ironical to hear the Vatican preaching to Asia when in its own backyard, they are using kid's glove to handle the accusations of their own men of God indulging in such acts! Wonder if the Vatican has gone off tangent in pointing their fingers at Asia when they have been resisting calls for harsher penalty or even carry out investigations if the allegations are true! Anyway we leave it to God to judge them and also take in good faith that the Church is sincere is this appeal and doing something to fight against child abuse.

Closer to home, BolehLand folks are ever so familiar with how off tangent man is with God's will. It doesn't take a maths genius or to learn it in Bahasa Melayu or English to add up the many instances of actions by our 'holy' men whose actions have been off tangent with God and even civil society. Of course, our religious people will say God's action is above that of civil society and even if the holy fellows carry out actions deemed barbaric, they are to these holy men, in tangent with God and carry out His will.

The latest we hear is from a political party who has many times been a Party Against Sanity when they begin their ritual lover's bashing on a celebration called Valentine's Day. Wonder if religious opportunists are going to use VD as an indirect Christian bashing again, accusing the Christians of advocating and encouraging pre or extra marital sex!

With Valentine's Day due in a week, PAS has again pledged to put a stop to the celebration. Its leaders, including PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan at-Tantawi, said it must be stopped as it would lead to immoral activities. His deputy Nik Abduh Nik Aziz wants the Government to place anti-Valentine Day's advertisements on television to discourage Muslims from celebrating the event. “Every year we join forces with various Muslim non-governmental organisations to create awareness that celebrating Valentine's Day is against the Islamic syariat... We do not want the celebration to become a trend among Muslims,” he said, adding that ulamas worldwide forbid Muslims from celebrating the day.Islamic officials in Malaysia issued a fatwa in 2005 that the day is associated with “elements of Christianity”...The Star, Feb 7, 2012.

So being seen with a rose or two in hand on Feb 14 can lend you in trouble, huh? Are chocs or cards or even your FB posting a no no too?

Well, either these religious fellows only do it on a holy Thursday night is their choice but to crack the whip to control the horny hormones for a day is as ironic as the Vatican asking Asia to stop child abuses huh?

The best way is to shut down all businesses owned by Muslims starting today and post Feb 14 so that you reduce the chances of lovers buying gifts, sending chocs, flowers, even eating at mamak shops for a single or group VD outing! On second thought, you need to ban all businesses because lovers will buy from businesses opened and not run by Muslims!

If we are going to get religious and paranoid about doing anything with Christian elements, it's not VD that you need to ban right? The first is to get rid of the Gregorian calender so you won't have VD or Christmas and those many Christian celebrations. Places of worship must also be torn down because they are so visible and can weaken those who sees it. In fact, ban the religion would be easier right?  No Muslim operation or with Muslim majority business should serve anything related to Christianity including turkey roast, hot cross buns, fruit cakes. That would be the best solution to protect believers from straying or their faith weakened right?

If we are obsessed with attempts to weaken one's faithful, we should not encourage any of your faithful to live in places where there are so many pagan elements around them right? All should stay in the Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan and even BolehLand. Indonesia seems an exception for the time being but if the clerics have their way it will join BolehLand too in admonishing anyone seen off tangent with God right?

So to PAS and Pakatan, look at how to reduce the large number of social ills among the Muslims such as out of wedlock birth and all kind of maksiat committed by political leaders who pay the salaries of the religious moral squads too!

Happy Valentine's Day. Love You
Pull the plug out of the telcos so that noone can FB, YM, BB, or mms or chat on their pc or mobile on Feb 14. Broadcast religious programmes till Feb 14 or better still declare Feb 14 a religious holiday holding holy book recital competition, nasyid and religious sermons too...Our religious fellow also employ the services of that email provide to check for any FB postings that is connected with VD and charge anyone sending such messages prior and post Feb 14 eh?

As all public spaces to pose a warning 'This establishment is not responsible if you are caught on Feb 14' or 'This establishment do not serve or conduct any form of business and activity related to the Feb 14 celebration. And anyone who celebrates his or her birthday, anniversary or send roses etc should carry a disclaimer that it is in no way related to Feb 14 celebration. Better still have a halal certification like they are going to do it for leather goods.

Think the suggestions are being paranoid and extreme and rather ridiculous and off tangent with God? Ask youngsters and they will tell you to 'Make Love not create war among each other, right? And who said they are going to do it in the open? There's always home too, yours or the lovers huh? So come Feb 14, do we fear the knock on our door if they check that we are not spreading a bit of VD, Valentine's Day love that is?

Man always think, rather believe they know who God is and what He wants. Each great or lesser religion claim they possess the one true God, as if God needs man to do his PR, not a political party that is, for Him.

So when man dictates,  more often to live out one innate trait of human beings which share alike with the animal kingdom, power to control over others to come out the stronger and victorious one so that the losers, timid and meek will bow down to the victorious and victimisation of the powerful over the less powerful. And God has been the convenient ammo and weapon to sanctify or confer unto man his dominion over others, most times even God himself.

Those who do not possess religious knowledge or schooled in a particular religion are often asked to just shut up and listen to those who have been called by God to carry out His commands and what have you,..

So we have religious institutions just like any other institution set up to wield control and power over individual beings. The simple argument is if you want to follow us and undergo that ritual of initiation call it Bat Mitzvah, baptism or sunat, once you are born or reborn into the 'family' you are forever their child of God and those who leave even voluntarily are subjected to, as the institution will say 'God's punishment'.

The Catholic Church of ole used to stone apostates, which thank God these days, this practice has stopped and deemed illegal. However, there are some religions which claim you cannot change an iota of God's law so if one leaves the family so it's 'off with his or her head', or death by stoning and what have you.

So when man is inflicted or rather punished by these religious institutions, these clerics in robes will accuse man or the sinner of being off tangent with God's will. Those humans who refused to be become addicted to or by the extremism and fanaticism of institutionalised religion will accused the religious institutions and their men in robes that their actions suggests God is off tangent with his creation. A God who is seen as an angry God, even tainted with Racism, bigotry, corruption injustice, gender bias, a God out on a witch hunt, a God who has no qualm of whipping, humiliating and beheading those who do not obey His command.

Of course, there will be those who argue that it is man who is off tangent with God. If that is so, why do we feel fear and shiver when we see these religious and moral squads cometh a knocking at our doors, or when we are having a good time with friends in open or enclosed environment? Why do we tremble with fear to speak out? On the other hand, we are disgusted and abhor those ah longs, pimps, drug lords and warlords who abuse, intimidate and enslave man.

It's ironic we shiver with the same level of fear with religious institutions and men of cloth with their rules, rituals and what have you, as well as the so called 'scums' of the earth we label these anti social elements, the ah longs, pimps, robbers etc, where money is their supreme God. We fear those who call themselves God's chosen ones and also the Godless crime lords, not that the latter don't believe and also fear God in their own ways.

The latest is we fear political leaders and their political party, the third God so to speak who uses the God of religion to sanctify their rule and power on one hand, and on the left hand, the religion of money indulging in actions that conmen does, corruption and where money reigns supreme.  Such is Bolehland where halal and haram is becoming pervasive.

1 (one) Too Many To Leave a Legacy?

In the over hour long interview between PKR Rafizi and BN UMNO Youth KJ,(do listen in full to have a glimpse of who is the visionary and who living in illusion) there was a question from the audience on the many campaign and sloganeering a leader has once he ascends to the most powerful throne in BolehLand, ie the Premiership.

UMNO's KJ said that such campaigns are a leader's legacy or mark he wishes to leave behind once his reign ends. (which he failed to elaborate how the chair is vacated, either voluntarily or kicked out by their own members).

The legitimately elected last Prime Minister, AAB signature or lack of it was Islam Hadhari or according to Wikipedia,  "Civilizational Islam" is a theory of government based on the principles of Islam as derived from the Qur'an. It was originally founded by Tunku Abdul Rahman in 1957 (but under a different name and has been promoted by the former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi)...

To have been ungracefully forced out might be interpreted as the policy/campaign principle deviated from the true path or it was on the true path but made the warlords in the party uncomfortable. Anyway, it was more politics (the dismal GE12 election performance) than religion that got him kicked out ungracefully which is not something alien in UMNO since in 1969, our Bapa Malaysia was also ungracefully kicked out. So much about respecting the elders or preserving the adat and tradition that the race is so fond of reminding others that make them different from the rest of us. But then if you believe in Hang Tuah, you'd also believe how they dispose fellows who are not with them right?

So 1Malaysia seeking to be legitimately elected by the people as the Prime Minister (which is somewhat a 1969 deja vu which may be a coincidence or fate like his dad who also descended to the no 1 throne for not having led and won an election) has his own brand ala campaign to leave a legacy for BolehLand folks to remember once he hands over the premiership (whatever tradition UMNO adopts) to the next fellow.

The legacy the present leader is working so hard to leave behind is synonymous with the digit '1', its prime position at the start was at first, in front led by the master brand mould, 1Malaysia. This 1Malaysia policy or concept is rather tricky to put one's finger on what the definitive meaning or connotation is. It's an oxymoron not to be confused with a moron having an ox brain who can't decide what the label he devised actually or really means.

This 1Malaysia policy seems to be only known to the BN fellos and the GLCs and civil servants, eh? Though opponents to the brand don't really seem to make out what it means.

If it's about celebrating diversity under 1 entity... Ok let's just leave it to the creator to really know what it really means while the rest of us just take it in good faith it is supposed to reflect the reality that we are all experiencing in BolehLand or the dream it should be as what the policy is supposed to mean...

Gosh, wikipedia is probably having a really difficult time putting a finger on what this 1Malaysia policy really means given the contradictions it finds this policy seem to be embroiled in since it was first conceptualised. But the easiest way to know it's a 1Malaysia thingy is when you use the correct digit finger to signify it is or has something to do with 1Malaysia. Any other fingering symbolism is just bastardising it or plain rude right?

But this 1Malaysia concept, policy, philosophy, brand, label, etc is nevertheless very pervasive in BolehLand's landscape at least visually and in the audible sense. Look left, right, up, down, even if you shut your eyes, you can't help to see that iconic '1' and the greeting of 'salam 1malaysia'. And this '1' fingering is like a must in any group photoshoot. So if you show the correct finger sign and ask any BolehLand folks, the legal ones of course, what it means and if the first utterance is not 1Malaysia, then you can be admonished that you for not being a Malaysian first or even grateful to and respect its leaders, yes?

Since the iconic '1' was first introduced on terra cotta as well as cyberspace about three years ago, now three years or so on, the 1 has shifted its position but not its symbolic importance or reminder of whose brand it belongs to right. The brand legacy currently dotting BolehLand landscape and business logo are:

1Malaysia Clinic, 1Malaysia Shop (KR1M), 1Malaysia Public Housing (PR1MA), 1Malaysia Menu (MR1M), 1Malaysia Unit Trust and 1Malaysia Fish Shop (KIR1M), 1Malaysia Book Voucher (BB1M), 1Malaysia People's Aid (BR1M) and the 1Malaysia Investment and Savings Scheme (Sara 1Malaysia).

Don't forget there is 1MCA, 1MIC, 1Gerakan, 1PPP and the rest of the coalition partners with their '1'Party name. Every GLC has also gotten into this 1 game with 1 being placed in front, though one has an advantage of having the privilege to not use it in front but after the letter C? which sends a powerful message that blood is definitely thicker than sky juice right?

The latest 1label is mulling setting up the 1Malaysia Corps – an ambitious effort to group all youth associations and volunteer entities such as Rela, Civil Defence Department and Rakan Muda.

The uninitiated may wonder why there need to have a '1' in front or embedded in any programme or project name, if it is meant for everyone irrespective of colour, belief or whatever. The '1' rather than to narrow the difference gap is an ironic iconic reminder of the distinct differences being preserved and how it compartmentalise us right? The '1' schemes are supposed to melt or disregard such distinction and everyone is given 'fair' and 'just treatment' like the BR1M and BB1M as examples. By having the '1' in the project it is reminding us of the 'divide and rule' that we like to perpetuate and we will meet everyone half way when you walk into or use the services of any programme or project that has a '1' in its name.

We use to in the past, to just walk into any government clinic or hospital and get treatment. Now we need to rebrand it as 1Hospital, 1Clinic and what other 1 have you so that you can get treatment irrespective your colour, belief and what not huh?

When gotong royong was done, we didn't need a '1'whatever so that all come together in the spirit of volunteerism, charity and humanity. Now if there is a '1' missing are we saying it does not reflect who we are or have been?

Don't get this author wrong that the schemes have no merits or benefitial to the intended recipients. Kudos to these schemes which the government of the day is duty bound to do especially when the government claims to be drawing example from the Holy Prophet too, right? The issue is the obsession to live out our animal instinct behaviour of putting  one's 'identity' scent and 'shioksendiri' label in these projects. Where's the sincerity, where's the humility?

All this need for the iconic little sons and daughters '1' to be drawn from this mother of all '1Malaysia' icon, rather than trying to strip away our differences and distinction are rather reminders of to use KJ's term in the debate 'silo' mentality and distinction that the government is trying to perpetuate huh?

Why is there a need to use the '1' for a poverty eradication programme as if we ordinary folks use the race lens to help reduce poverty in our own midst?

The strongest argument that the iconic '1' is a divide and rule reminder or rather some have more rights or privileges over others is that it is considered taboo and even seditious to even think of say labelling it '1NEP or 1DEB'? If this policy was to eradicate poverty, shouldn't it be politically correct to call it 1NEM now huh? Try and figure this '1' out then if we are all convinced what 1Malaysia policy is all about what the creator thinks it is?

We are all consumers and we know that brands we pick come and go and the emotive relationship may grow or fade or extinguish, that depending if the brand delivers on its promise. So too all those brand campaigns that our leaders come up with. Remember Tony Blair's 'New Deal' and where it landed him and his party? Closer to home remember the 'Saya Yang Menurut Perintah' or 'Bersih, Cekap, Amanah' campaign and sloganeering?

Just Malaysia can ah?

Today it's 1Malaysia and a host of 1mind boggling spawn of other '1s' that is difficult to create a 1Map if they are all consistent with the 1Mother policy. And the scary thing is if you don't subscribe to the '1' as a civil servant or GLC or even the '1' businesses under its umbrella, you can be accused of being ungrateful and against God, King and Country!

That's why some see the cult of '1' in form than in substance given the contradictions in our political, religious, race, language, customs and even business environment and the leaders handling of issues in each respective environment.

There are many ways to leave one's mark and legacy. In BolehLand, it has now become very cult like and almost everyone wanting to be seen in the good books are parroting it. Blame it on the addiction of needing expensive public relations teams?

Think the paranoid over the '1' thingy a fantasy? Ask those in a group photoshoot if they don't feel like showing the politically correct finger or greet 'Salam Malaysia' than the politically correct one what they will be labelled as?

With so many schemes and projects piggy backing on the main 1Malaysia iconic symbolism, that's about the one legacy we all probably remember, likely 1 too many to leave a permanent legacy, when the '1' is overtaken by another sloganeering campaign by the next leader in waiting no?

Some will say it's not 1Malaysia policy that is the main over arching policy, but the 'People first, performance now' tagline. And our reaction is probably, a cynical 'Huh" you mean there's a same-same gender policy?

If we all seem to know what 1Malaysia policy is all about then these following '1' label must equally be correct too; 1TollUPay Fare; 1FairTax Scheme; 1Fixed House Price;1Merit Scholarship and so on huh?
