Go On Criminalise Traffic Offenders, Why Wait?

“If jailing offenders can reduce the number of fatalities on the road, then I think we have no choice because the approach of appealing, educating does not work,” so proposed our Home Minister.

Finally some radical action but is there a political will? What's the point of just trying to look good by talking when the government has so many time dared not walk the talk.

The summons offenders were given so may 'ampun' and forgiveness even reducing the quantum of fine that offenders mock the government for extending their amnesty in ad infinitum. Like the registration of illegal migrants.

There doesn't seem any plan B or plan C if plan A doesn't work. Isn't saying you are going to jail them a kind of threat and warning, a final appeal?

The main reason warnings don't work is because the government are always flip flopping than flogging offenders. It wil be politicised and become a racist issue perhaps no?

Rather than just making threats, just do it please. Station officers along any major route to the city on a work morning and evening or even very hour in the main cities, you will achieve your KPI in just a day! The Jalan Semantan ram to Jalan Duta is a notorious stretch where many irresponsible irritating motorists 'potong' into traffic with some even taking the bike route!

Indiscriminate parking, driving in the middle lane in the expressway, texting using the phone and other traffic offences are committed daily. Jailing offenders will also help reduce the number of cars or motorbikes on the road.

BolehLand fellows know that if the government dare to walk the talk, they will lose popularity and votes by simply following the law right? They will compare the lack of political will to tackle bigger issues especially their real and perceived belief that the law is victimising the small fish. And the big fishes issue and sharks are left untouched are age ole concerns, in no particular order, corruption, racism, injustice, bigotry, nepotism, patronage and these days even most foul murders depending who is involved are not resolved.

Even if the government is referring to tackling small fries which is easier like road offence, the public still believe in this proverbial statement of 'not seeing the big log in one's eye but can see the tiny speck in another!'

So go on act and criminalise traffic offenders who pay taxes and let corrupt officials continue with their crime and these crooks are the ones not paying taxes even!

Wonder how this threat to criminalise ordinary folks is related to abolishing recent laws and making BolehLand the best democracy and best place you want to be huh?

Let's suppose for once the government does walk the talk and start jailing traffic offenders. They would need to have plan B and plan C ready.

The first is to ensure there are enough prisons else you put these traffic offenders with drug addicts, prostitutes, killers and the occasion corrupt officials!

Then you will need to employ more migrant workers legal or illegal may not matter if you are desperate to fill the vacancies as a result of putting to jail drivers who work in the transport industry, buses, lorries, even trailers, taxi drivers, fast food delivery guys on motorbikes, courier service, those in  F&B and almost every service industry that use transport.

Contractors will be short of supply, so too will the newspaper vendor, companies will have to hire new staff when their employees are in jail, CEOs may have to drive on their own as their drivers are in jail, mails and courier service will be on a standstill, so will universities as students are behind bars, secondary schools will have empty seats for those who ride motorcycles. In fact schools may have to close as the bus drivers or parents are in jail for committing traffic offences.

Construction sites will have abandoned projects as their loaders are jailed and those supplying materials are also in lock up.

And please go after those who modify their ride posing a danger to other road drivers!

Heck, the whole economy will be on a standstill. And for once, no race will be blamed!!!

The good thing from enforcing this dare is the streets will be emptier of cars, public transport will make money as more will not drive and take public transport, provided the bus dirvers are not arrested or migrant workers are found to take over from those in jail. There will definitely be NO MAT REMPIT!!!

So Home Minister, go on criminalise traffic offenders and what are you waiting for? Since the government has always said that they are doing right because they are enforcing the law. So if they fail to enforce the law, should we find someone else who would, eh?

We ordinary drivers should not complain anymore if the Home Minister starts really doing what he dare say he will do. Simply because every one who drives or have been on any mode of transport at one time in his/her life wish he/she has an AK47 or bazooka, or nuclear bomb or laser gun or truck or caterpillar or even an M1  Abram tank to swash or exterminate the irresponsible traffic offender, no?

Truly a 1Malaysia thought provoking warning by our Home Minister, putting people safety first and jailing traffic offenders to make our roads safer.

Be warned traffic offenders, your freedom is coming to an end, thanks to 1Malaysia, At the end of finally locking up the last traffic offender, those walking free are likely to be involved in corruption, racism, injustice, bigotry, nepotism, patronage and these days even most foul murders depending who is involved, right?

If for once the government will put fear into the ordinary citizens, they will become obedient and you would never have to be afraid to apply the law and jail anyone who break any law. This way, you can assure you will be the government for a long long time as the ones walking free are likely to be involved... (ditto the para above to finish this sentence) and they are the ones allowed to vote you in  eh?
