in BolehLand, nothing said in private or in public escapes the attention of the cynical, critical and conspiracy theory folks.
When the hot fireburner junior Lim did a 'criminal' act in down south dot republic allegedly in private compared southern Johor like some 'cowboy gunslinger unsafe place', he created a storm that sent a hydra of missiles of condemnation at the red rocket leader!
Finally our CAT Lim found his nuts and apologised to the Ruler of the State and at the same time took a cue from the dot republic known for suing anyone who said anything about their leaders,- to sue the MSMedia for misinterpreting him. In which case, if you have been misinterpreted, shouldn't the one who misinterpreted, which means reported falsehood do the apologising instead huh?
In Bolehland, such is the absurdity as well as the colourful ways our people in the limelight express themselves. Even with those supposedly the beautiful and the glam, they do make the occasional slip, i.e. a Freudian slip, 'no not the sexual related part' when in the hour of stress, tension and possible panic state. Read story below of the WTF, i.e. What The Foul up of our beauty queen.
So in that moment of 'weakness' our beauty became an ugly beast hah!
Of course we are all humans as all of us will agree to that. So WTF, i.e. What's the Fuss about her just being herself huh?
We do forgive our Miss Malaysia hopeful for her F word, uttered during a stressful anxious moment right?
Was it an unexpected unnatural F-up reaction just once she did in this stressful anxious moment?
Or is it an indication of a natural F-up reaction and Pavlov triggered response each time such anxious stressful moment hits our poor beauty?
It's like how we speak our Bolehland Manglish where many cannot live with using our 'lah lah' word. Each sentence is punctuated with a Smurfy lah lah here and lah lah there. So even in formal conversation, giving presentations to mat sallehs or in high powered BolehLand setting discussions, our smurfy word has a powerful place and moment in discussing billion or multi million ringgit contracts to even planning conspiracies to run down opponents, no?
Even in the corridors of power and the august house, if a Minister wants to disparage an opponent or make light of controversial issues, the omnipotence 'lah' is likely to be used like, 'it's only a corporal lah who fired the teargas!' or 'why lah your press want to make it a big issue lah!
Behavioral scientists will argue that our beauty's WTF, ie. What The Foul up she did with the F-word is likely not a rare reaction or outburst. It probably reflects a kind of habitual behaviour that is difficult to notice you even said it because it has become part of the 'no big fuss about using it' value code of the user and it comes naturally to the speaker. Or an acceptable group norm among the group of friends who indulge in such group speak lingo.
Like in some society, saying 'you bastard' like my Anglo Saxon friend is as normal as saying 'gawd dei' to some. And my ah beng friend can string a five word sentence containing 10 words related to the dirty flipflops one's mother wear and still we laugh it off among ourselves and we 'get the drift' of what he's saying. Simply because we know to disregard the fellow's mother's dirty flip flops, right?
And how may WTFs must have been uttered during last night's Liverpool vs Man United game in open air spaces like Dataran Merdeka eh?
So back to our beauty who mad a slip that injured her character and turned her in a split second into an ugly beast with her 'f'oul up expletive. A split second is enough in a public broadcast to change one's life right? Are not our beauty hopefuls advised on public etiquettes huh?
So, will the voters, i.e. the public give our beauty hopeful another chance for her faux paux verbal act? Or will they see it as a likely habitual response under stress hidden under that beauty and vote her out? Say if she really became BolehLand's representative, will this incident haunt her for the rest of her life or she becomes stronger out of this nightmare huh?
As the two beauties have 'kissed' and made up, so should we right?
It is sad our hopeful will never be able to retract what she said. The lesson is it is difficult to unF&@# that easily babe, no?
It's not some private beauty session or in a salon that one can behave out of character or your normal self. It is a beauty contest and beauty queens, blondes and brunettes are supposed to be all dainty pretty and innocent right?
Or are we trying to turn beauty pagents to tell those prudish folks out there 'us ladies are not a bunch of barbie dolls' for you men to ogle and enjoy hah!
We use to think our local Ms Bolehland beauty to be both lacking in brains and the sexist derogatory term 'has that broad beauty too.' Remember when past Ms BolehLand's hopefuls at Miss World and Miss Universe contest when asked what they do, replied with utmost, confidence 'beautiful consultant, slimming counsellor or part time model' or 'what was the question ah?' No Freudian slip though.
Or when asked their educational background our confident Ms BolehLand will reply 'still repeating my A levels or waiting for my results after my tenth resit or enrolled in home domestic science course'.
Or what they excel it while others contestants displayed their gymnastic talents, or musical talents, our beauty hopeful is quick to quipp 'I am fast at texting, play computer games or can eat every dish in a 100 buffet spread and go for second servings huh?
Ok these are way off exaggerations because our beauty material are very educated-lah these days. They know a lot about brand, real brand fashion, wear and accessories and are very educated too. So educated that no words they hear or use will ever be misinterpreted by them or anyone else. Isn't that great if we also share the same sentiments as our Ms BolehLand huh?
Therein lies the hypocrisy in our society where we want an egalitarian utopia, we are afraid to direct our concerns or expletives at the source, our politicians, government and leaders. But we employ Freemason-like rules in our beauty contests and what have you that they cannot be tainted by outside corruption but tout such beauty events as spreading, love, women's emancipation against sex, violence and what Cinderella would do to make the world a better place, no?
When a hope slips up, the Freudian slip that is, we go to town f-king her up huh! What and why lah right?
So for the moment, our Ms Malaysia may turn out to be a Missed Malaysia hopeful depending on the mercy of voters. Whatever the verdict is, let us not be moral guardians towards one segment of society or profession but allow others to openly and repeatedly spew WTFs, I mean, not Freudian slips, on all of us, eh?
To our Suchitra, you are only human like all of us. Whatever the results, go on with life with a WTF attitude, i.e., With Total Faith in yourself, okay.
All the best then to all our beauties. And please disregard what the Obedient Wives' Club or green fellows are advocating you women to become, hah!

Two beauty queens make up
By STEVEN PATRICK - steven@thestar.com.my- Oct 16, 2011
KUALA LUMPUR: It's all settled between two beauty queens, after one of them caused a stir by using an expletive during a recorded reality show.
Miss Universe Malaysia finalist Suchitra Kumar was facing elimination when she blurted out the four-letter word after it was announced that Jascinta Kaur had made it to the top eight.
Immediately after the programme, Suchitra, a tax accountant, approached Jascinta and offered her apologies.
“There is absolutely no excuse for how I reacted and it was inappropriate. It was very harsh. I have apologised to Jascinta,'' she told Daily Chilli.
Let bygones be bygones: Jascinta who was verbally attacked by fellow contestant Suchitra has accepted the apology.
The programme was aired over Astro's Hitz TV channel on Thursday. Suchitra's foul language was bleeped out by the producers but there was little left to the imagination of viewers.
“I used the word and I don't usually blow up like that. I guess it was the stress (of the competition). Still, I should not have done so,” said the 24-year-old.
During the show titled BeautyCamp: The Search for Miss Universe Malaysia 2012, Suchitra burst into tears when she found out that she was close to being voted off.
Jascinta, 19, who has just completed her A-Levels, said she accepted Suchitra's apology and was letting “bygones be bygones.”
“There is no tension between us, and there is no point bearing grudges,” said the student who is about to begin a degree course in Accounting and Finance.
Suchitra ’s apology: There is absolutely no excuse for how I reacted and it was inappropriate.
Suchitra said remaining in the Miss Universe Malaysia contest was important to her.
“It's something that I always wanted to vie for but never had the confidence to do, until now,” she said.
Jascinta and Suchitra were two of the 19 finalists who qualified for BeautyCamp.
There are 14 finalists left after three episodes of the show.
Viewers will know if Suchitra makes it through to the ensuing rounds next week.
The grand finals will be telecast live on Nov 10 from the Sunway Convention Centre.
