The 'shioksendiri' disease of BolehLand, this self aggrandisement, conceited, pride is not subjected to only leaders of the federal government, BN but is just as widespread in the shadow government, the Pakatan leaders.
The BN leaders have the advantage and lots of taxpayers money at their disposal to employ foreign cool image consultants to give the impression the no1Leader is a cool guy going on rides around the country and town, never mind if in new expensive cool air con buses or helicopters or private jets. While they may think their cool acts will cool down the anger of voters expressed in GE12 and return them to their glorious powerful past, the opposition are trying very hard to pour hot water of such cool rides, reminding the public of the ride they are been taken upon by such show of form over substance.
The shadow government is also having their own 'shioksendiri' programmes more often stirring up controversies and fighting imaginary shadow enemies which are mostly their own invention and doing.
Like their Penang leader who is still behaving and thinking like an opposition kid, making disparaging remarks in a 'mine is better than yours' game. The latest volte face is the Johor fiasco and apology after all those denial makes Lim a liar and hypocrite. More so someone who cannot say or have said wrong things! If you truly believed you have not done anything wrong or lied, why do you need to apologise? Unless you want to be some martyr? But didn't he and his party been always crying they are being victimised and crucified by their opponents? And if they believe their enemies are conspiring to defame or bring his government and party down, doesn't he have the maturity and experience to know how to outsmart his enemies? He cannot always appeal or go and cry for support and sympathy from the public to plead his innocence! The public will soon be fed up with this crybaby immature juvenile thinking of a leader.
The latest Pakatan's shioksendiri act of theirs is to think they are God and the government of the day! PAS' insistence of imposing hudud when they come into power, with the help of their other parties opposed to its implementation, is trying to show the Muslims that they are the rightful ketuanan of the Malays and their religion than UMNO. At least they are honest about it but with such an attitude, it is losing their hopes of ever taking over Putrajaya. They may think that the silent majority of Muslims and the non opposition of UMNO give them the right and power to declare themselves the mullahs and rightful leaders to impose hudud.
Well, their Tok Guru and their hudud enthusiastic leaders are wrong on all counts. History past and present day events point to the fact that man, particularly the religions leaders who turn political leaders can NEVER be trusted to able to implement God's laws justly or fairly or interpret them correctly! And to believe that hudud does not affect non Muslims, is like PAS telling the Christians that Jesus is the son of God, hah!
While many light minded Muslims and non Muslims are being swept by the growing wave of ABU, Anything But UMNO or ABB or Anything But Barisan, PAS' insistence on imposing hudud is also being heard louder and louder and amplified 10 times courtesy of MSMedia with their own agenda! Pakatan leaders must be in panic mode but then if we know our religious history or history well, when God, in this case man acting as God decide to get what He wants, no mortal can stand in His ways right? Men with strong religious conviction always believe God is on their side and anything they do God will bless them from getting x number of virgins to enjoy in heaven to a higher room up there compared to those of other religions, no? So you have those who have no compunction to blow themselves up or destroy any partnership to win!
There is a saying not to count one's chickens before they are hatched. PAS is so cocksure of their dreams turning to reality before the appointed date or time. PAS' declaration they are all hudud geared is not even counting the chickens. They have hard boiled their eggs believing they can hatch up a win with such impatience huh?
Those who have given up their principles even turning a blind eye or make remarks like 'I don't care if he screws any gal or guy' as long as he or she is not corrupt I'm fined with that' is really selling off one's principle. We are okay with our leaders being corrupt morally as long as they are not materially corrupt, huh? So for power, we are really living up to what God has warned that we will sell our soul to the devil to satisfy our material greed, no?
Some may argue that those who turn away from PAS because of their bravery to champion a religious duty that each Muslim ought to uphold and implement are being hypocritical. PAS is using religion to resolve morality issues as a means to end man's corruption be they material or moral. Do we fear that hudud is unable to resolve the very woes we seek to displace by voting out the present government?
Or hudud is not the best means to cleanse our nation of corruption in any form, or reduce snatch thieves, or rapes or incest or even neglecting divorced partners, unwanted babies or all those activities that the morale squads have taken upon themselves to clean up huh?
UMNO is very smart in letting PAS take over the ketuanan Islam in this hudud issue because UMNO are the experts and have the experience in knowing that BolehLand folks will prefer to have the corruption to continue and turn a blind eye to it than to have a religious law that will prevent them from even thinking of doing naughty things?
UMNO is happily allowing the citizens and non Muslims especially, to attack PAS and in the process even attack Islam itself. UMNO or Perkasa and the other mamak Muslim based NGOs are happy to let non Muslims oppose Mulsim laws as noone is filing any police reports against anyone who are denying Muslims from rightfully imposing what they are required to do right?
So hudud is a saving grace for UMNO and BN and in the sense perhaps God has answered their prayers. They must really thank Allah for making PAS to look like the bad guy for wanting to impose God's laws! The misfortunes of Pakatan is a saving grace for BN to regain their two thirds majority.
Election is supposed to be in the air but the Pakatan leadership have not got their act together. Instead they have all been acting like they have hatched many good chickens and trying to dig out BN's corruption and what not. The reality is BN can turn around and ask the voters if Pakatan's accusations are all true, why haven't their so called corrupt leaders been put behind bars?
Of course, the public will say that the justice and enforcement agencies are all on the side of the ruling party. But if this is the case, the only way is to ensure that a new government is voted in to dismantle such injustice by voting out the present government that has allowed such situation to occur, right?
PAS has proposed one such means to 'right the wrongs'. Instead they are now being made to have done a 'wrong' which to PAS is their right as a Muslim to implement hudud. Voters cannot have it both ways. If you complain the present government will never change and continue with their ways there is a shadow one lurking to change that.
But BN has cleverly revealed the devils amidst the shadow and Pakatan themselves has now cast without a shadow of doubt of the kind of mess that they will be embroiled with if they should be voted in.
But everyone knows the Federal Constitution and the Institution of the Rulers are required to enforce hudud. It's an irony while we presently think the Constitution and Rulers are stumbling blocks to justice, freedom and what not, they may be the very institutions that will ensure justice, freedom and what not are preserved!!!
Nevertheless, Pakatan's behaviour is helping BN regain its majority power in GE13 if they continue to bicker, their leaders mired in controversy, from sex to disparaging remarks, infighting, trying to do a Nawee (with apology to the real Nawee who don't do that) of the jalur gemilang and fudging on hudud.
If we know that hudud can't be implemented without changing the Constitutions or minds of Rulers, just say so and move on. Of course UMNO, BN and the MSMedia will want to play it up and noone is stopping them from insulting a Muslim's desire to implement it, so this double standard game play is working to BN's advantage. The only people who can stop these are the voters who must be convince that PAS cannot impose it because mathematically they can't get that majority even if they win. Unless PAS leaves and join BN hah, that will be padan muka on PKR and DAP!
Rather than trying to do damage control, PKR and DAP would be wise to just tell voters that even if they come to power, they are going to follow BN's argument that the timing is not right because presently the public are happy with BN not imposing hudud so PKR, DAP and Pakatan are not being hypocritical if they do not impose hudud should they win Putrajaya.
The issue is not to be ambivalent especially the stand taken by the defacto leader. You can only spin that much because too much spinning makes your voters giddy and they may lost their sense of rationality at the poll!
So whether by the grace of God or God's will that His hudud law is now being the most important factor deciding the fate of BN and Pakatan alike will be seen in how each party including the MSMedia are going to use this piece of God's law to manipulate both God and the voters. History is repeating itself in Bolehland even if our history is a mess. Men has used religion to do both good and evil things. Religion is being used now to dilute other evil and wrong things that is happening in BolehLand, corruption, rising racism & chauvinism, erosion of freedom of religion and a worrying economic downturn. It is clouding our rational thinking, it is endangering our efforts to correct the ills of the present government and that of the shadow government.
Will hudud be the factor that will ensure BN beats Pakatan or vice versa? Is the election only about whether hudud will be implemented or not or are they bigger issues at stake? And we thought that sex, corruption, injustice, racism, double standards and what not where more important issues huh?
