Too Hot or Spicy Nasi Lemak

Hearing the hilarious review of friends who watch Nasi Lemak 2.0, was gamed on going to watch it at the theater. Lo and behold was told GSC has decided to stop screening it.

Their reason? That it was the cinema's policy not to show movies already being aired on Astro. When asked why it did not want to continue screening despite a huge following, GSC said it was trying to uphold the cinema institution as the best place to watch movies. "The experience of sitting in a hall full of moviegoers, with state-of-the-art displays and sound system, is the ultimate experience," the spokesman said.

Didn't know that it was on Astro's subscription channel? But how many subscribe to the silly Astro channel if they enjoy watching in the cinema?

So there are many who want to enjoy the ultimate experience and by stopping screening in GSC, the spokersperson has contradicted what he or she said!!! So why is GSC depriving those who want the ultimate experience from watching it in the cinema? Out with the real reason please than a contradictory lame excuse. Too hot or spicy on the supposedly racist menu that many of us have? Or some masters up there demanded the cut?

So what if Astro has it on their subscription channel. I for one has never subscribed to their online channel because there are many movies where you want the ultimate experience!

Friends who saw it said its full of parody, double entendre and innuendos and if one is going there with a stereotype mind or have issues with Namewee, better not go watch it. A friend who saw it couldn't see the message in scenes that concerned another culture.

It's so sad because it goes to show that we have not been teaching our young and adultse about other people's culture! It shows the failure of unity programmes and especially this 1Malaysia concept because it reminds all of us that there is a majority that dictates the culture, norms and practices of the nation. We have become very myopic and these days chauvinistic, no thanks to our polluticians.

It's like watching Letterman or Jay Leno. If you don't understand American politics or read what's happening you would lose the humour and wit in their jokes. You can become a prude if you always take things so seriously and at face value!

So wait for pirate version of Nasi Lemak? And then incur the f#&% wrath of Namewee for not making him richer huh?
